Wicklow Fashion Designer Silvia Ortega will showcase her latest collection at Ireland’s annual ARC Fashion Show at the RDS Concert Hall in Dublin.

Now in its ninth year, the ARC Fashion Show will feature the biggest line-up yet with 25 fashion designers, five accessories’ designers and eight milliners. Renowned Irish author and cancer survivor Emily Hourican will inaugurate the show which is produced by Eddie Shanahan. All funds raised will be dedicated to supporting ARC Cancer Support Centres who offer vital psychological, emotional, practical, and educational assistance to individuals of all ages affected by cancer and their caregivers.

Based in Wicklow town, Silvia initially moved to Ireland from her native Spain to discover new cultures. This journey ultimately rekindled her love for all things fashion, leading her to enrol in a Fashion Design Course in Dublin Institute of Design.

Now, Silvia specialises in sustainable fashion, embracing timeless designs crafted from natural fabrics that cater to the modern, eco-conscious woman. Attendees at the ARC Fashion Show will see her latest collection at the RDS, taking place on Thursday, March 28.

A hugely popular segment of the show is The ARC Angels sequence, and this year will see four ARC service users join the professional models on the runway to showcase eight exquisite millinery creations, inspired by the elements: earth, air, fire and water.

Dee Grant, CEO, ARC Cancer Support Centres, says, “With an audience of 900 people in attendance, The ARC Fashion Show has become a firm favourite among the Irish public and a must-see fixture in calendars across Ireland. With the proceeds raised from the event, it means that ARC can be there for men, women and children affected by cancer and those who care for them. It means that we can be there for them every step of the way for as long as they need us. All of our services at ARC are provided completely free of charge.”
