While this Kerry under-20 football team have had plenty of passages of incisive, attacking football on their march to Sunday’s All-Ireland final, Tomás Ó Sé’s tyros have also shown a real knack of rolling the sleeves up and, collectively, battling to get over the finishing line.

You wouldn’t expect anything less, to be fair, with a character like the An Ghaeltacht man at the helm, and that priceless ability to dig deep, and roll with the punches, certainly came to the fore in the narrowest of victories over Meath in the All-Ireland semi-final last Saturday.
