So let’s get this right. New GAA President Jarlath Burns favoured giving the All-Ireland hurling quarter-finals top billing this coming weekend by switching them from Saturday to Sunday.

Instead, they will be played on Saturday, as originally planned. Three football preliminary quarter-finals are fixed for later in the day. That’s five big-time games, with the hurling ‘live’ on RTÉ.
