Train services are set to resume in Dublin city centre after an earlier incident closed the tracks for DART and commuter rail services for some commuters.

Emergency services attended a “tragic incident” on the rail line earlier this morning.

Irish Rail have now confirmed services have been cleared to resume between Raheny and Dublin Connolly.

They said knock-on delays of approximately 30 minutes can be expected as they “regulate services back to schedule”.

Irish Rail informed commuters earlier this morning that Dublin Bus were accepting rail tickets.

A garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of an incident at Killester railway station, County Dublin, this morning Wednesday, 19th June 2024.

“Train services are disrupted in the area; further details can be sought from Iarnród Éireann.

“No further information is available at this time.”
