Joe Dunne, of Hale Vaping, believes e-cigarettes can play an important role in helping smokers to quit

‘I know some people in the vaping business, and they’re nearly afraid to say they are involved in it,” says Joe Dunne, a director of Hale Vaping. Not him, though: “I shout it from the rooftops.”

Shouting about it can be awkward in social situations, though. Sometimes the family is out for dinner, and Dunne will overhear a comment like, “I heard vaping is worse than smoking”. He’s about to jump in and start an argument when his wife intervenes. “Don’t you dare,” she’ll tell him, making a cut-throat gesture.
