The summer run for members of the Duhallow Vintage Club was favoured with bright sunshine last Sunday, as the old car enthusiasts gathered in Freemount to register for the day’s outing to Killarney.

Their route took the drivers to Liscarroll and Ballyclough, on to Mallow, Rathmore, Barraduff and into Killarney town, where they enjoyed a meal prior to the return journey to their base.

The appeal of the very active vintage club now attracts members from way beyond their north-west Cork catchment area, and Sunday’s run saw many vintage people from the Kerry region join their North Cork counterparts for the day’s outing.
