John Donnelly punches the air as he puts Kilkenny three up again. It came after brilliant work from Adrian Mullen to dispossess Adam Hogan as he made his way out of defence.
Peter Duggan is fouled and McCarthy tacks on another free, bringing the gap back to two.
Eoin Murphy saves brilliantly from Aidan McCarthy after the ball had broken kindly for the Clare man. He’ll be disappointed to have missed that one, but it takes a special one to beat the Glenmore man.

Aidan McCarthy scores another free after O’Donnell was fouled. The Clare crowd aren’t happy with the referee Liam Gordon as they felt he should have given O’Donnell the advantage.
A magical from Donnelly from under the Hogan Stand side puts Kilkenny five up again.
It’s a good response to the goal from Clare. Mark Rodgers is fouled as he ran through on goal and McCarthy makes no mistake.

Billy Ryan capitalises on a loose touch from Eibhear Quilligan and buries the ball to the net for Kilkenny’s second goal. It’s 1-2 for Ryan now, and after all Clare’s good work, Kilkenny are six up.
TJ scores a delightful line-ball to put the Cats three to the good once more.
Shane O’Donnell’s influence continues to grow on the second half. He lays off cleverly to David Fitzgerald who runs onto it like a train and taps over off the left.
