A magical from Donnelly from under the Hogan Stand side puts Kilkenny five up again.

It’s a good response to the goal from Clare. Mark Rodgers is fouled as he ran through on goal and McCarthy makes no mistake.

Billy Ryan capitalises on a loose touch from Eibhear Quilligan and buries the ball to the net for Kilkenny’s second goal. It’s 1-2 for Ryan now, and after all Clare’s good work, Kilkenny are six up.

Shane O’Donnell’s influence continues to grow on the second half. He lays off cleverly to David Fitzgerald who runs onto it like a train and taps over off the left.
