The late Conor Round.

The family of a young man who passed away tragically just four months ago has been overwhelmed by the support shown by the community, following a football tournament in Bray that has raised over €7,000 and counting for a charity identified by the family as one that would help increase awareness for the issues their son had struggled with.

Conor Round, from Shankill, passed away on March 9, 2024, aged just 21. His father, David, said the family was never fully aware of the battles with mental health that Conor fought, as he was “the centre of attention with his huge circle of friends” and had a a loving girlfriend, Katie Forde, with whom he shared three joyful years.
