All football activities have been suspended until further notice by The Louth Schools Girls League following the tragic event.

The North Eastern Football League (NEFL) committee has also circulated a message to clubs informing them that it has called off all matches scheduled for this weekend, including all ladies’ fixtures, as a mark of respect to the young girl and her family.

The young player was said to be heavily involved in sport, both soccer and GAA in the area, and was from a well-respected family in Louth.
