HWH-Bunclody produced a decisive third quarter surge to close in on a potential top-two finish in Group A of The Courtyard Ferns Intermediate hurling championship as Fethard’s personnel issues hurt them again in Friday’s second round clash in Samaritans St. Patrick’s Park.

It was all too close to call after a first-half during which the scores were tied six times, including at the break (1-10 apiece), before the winners reeled off 1-5 without reply between the 34th and 42nd minutes to pull clear by 2-15 to 1-11.
