Bray Emmets made the long journey to Kiltegan on Tuesday night last, July 9, to play the home side in the opening round of the Junior ‘B’ hurling championship. The weather was unkind in that the game was played almost in its entirety in a soft drizzle. However, to be fair to both sides, they made light of the wet conditions and served up a well-contested game.

Kiltegan had the advantage in firepower and gradually pulled away as the game progressed. Even though it was apparent that Kiltegan would be comfortable winners, Bray Emmets never threw in the towel and continued to battle all the way to the end.
