Tigers Childcare provides care for 3,000 children in Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Cork
One of Ireland’s biggest childcare providers has written to thousands of parents warning it may increase fees by up to 40pc due to the static level of government subsidies.
Tigers Childcare operates 22 facilities caring for 3,000 children in Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Cork, and employs 420 staff. The company says it is unhappy with the level of core funding, which is a government grant to early learning and childcare providers towards their operating costs in return for keeping fees down, among other conditions.
