Shane Mangan, a respected Sport Scientist, Performance Analyst and Gaelic football coach, tweeted this week: “Drones are excellent for reviewing training sessions in real time or post session. They provide better visibility of space compared to ground level. Share videos and drawings with players after on a platform like @Hudl.”

Accompanying this message was an overhead video of a training session taken from a drone, with the caption: “This 13v13 FSG was 160% of high speed match play demands.”
