The long-awaited All-Ireland Football Final, which will see Galway and Armagh go head to head in Croke Park on Sunday, July 28, is upon us and fans of both sides are getting ready for the match.

And what’s better than following the match along with other fans for those who can’t make it to Croker? These are some of the best places in Galway at which to watch the big game:

Pearse Stadium

Galway City Council announced the final will be shown live – and for free – at Pearse Stadium, in Salthill.

Patrons will be accommodated both on the field, and in the stand depending on their ticket. The match will be shown on a 10metre x 6metre fully HD screen with a state-of-the-art stadium sound system installed for the event.

The event is free and tickets can be obtained on the council website. More information on parking, entertainment and timeline can be found here.

Eyre Square

The match will also be broadcast at what is known as ‘the big screen’, in the Festival Garden in Eyre Square, set up in occasion of Galway International Arts Festival. The event is free.

Taaffes

Taaffes, one of the city’s most iconic pubs, will broadcast the match on Sunday. Also, they will host a special All-Ireland final live show on Wednesday, July 24 at 8pm, with David Wynne, Micheal Lundy and Ronan Steede as guests.

The Seven Bar

As one of the most famous sport pubs in Galway, The Seven Bar will be showing the final in ‘The Loft’. Doors will open at 2pm as the pub advised fans to come in early to get a good seat.

Kelehan’s Bar

Kelehan’s Bar in Bushypark, just outside the city, will have food, drinks, good atmosphere and seven big screens to show all the action.

Taylor’s Bar and Beer Garden

With screens both inside and in their beer garden, Taylor’s Bar in Galway’s Westend is another iconic place where to watch Galway vs Armagh.

Carroll’s Bar

Carroll’s Bar is another popular choice in Galway’s Westend as it’s famous not only for its huge beer garden, which makes it perfect for bigger gatherings, but also for its music and food options. The bar has many screens throughout the premises where to follow the game.
