In the hours after Armagh’s All-Ireland triumph last weekend, Oisín Conaty was receiving congratulatory texts from “both sides” of the town as he put it.

The former Portadown soccer player and Northern Ireland U-19 international has enjoyed a spectacular first full season as an Armagh senior. He earned man of the match against Galway in Sunday’s final after his three-point contribution and a range of assists, as he put his searing pace to good use.
