​Last Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC final win for Kerry wasn’t just won on Sunday – it was a victory tempered in the fire of the last five years under managers Declan Quill and Darragh Long. In particular, the victory over Galway was fashioned over the last 24 months, starting with the All-Ireland final loss to Meath in the summer of 2022, which was a tough but essential lesson for all concerned with Kerry.
