IRELAND vs AUSTRALIA – 1987
Ireland played their first bilateral series against Australia in 1987, with the Irish team led by Mary-Pat Moore. The series consisted of three One Day Internationals (ODIs), all of which were won by Australia. In the first match, Australia won by 110 runs; in the second match, they won by 123 runs; and in the third match, they secured a victory by 105 runs.
IRELAND vs ENGLAND – 1990
Ireland contested their inaugural bilateral series against England in 1990, led by Elizabeth Owens. The series featured two One Day Internationals (ODIs), both of which were claimed by England. England won by 62 runs in the first match and by 10 wickets in the second.
IRELAND vs NEW ZEALAND – 1996
Under the leadership of Miriam Grealey, Ireland played their first-ever bilateral series against New Zealand in 1996, hosted on home soil. The series comprised three One Day Internationals (ODIs), of which New Zealand emerged victorious in two. New Zealand won the first match by 97 runs and the second by 143 runs. The third match was abandoned due to rain, resulting in no result.
IRELAND vs SOUTH AFRICA – 1997
In 1997, Ireland faced South Africa in their inaugural bilateral series, held on home turf with Miriam Grealey as captain. The series featured three One Day Internationals (ODIs), all of which were won by South Africa. They secured victories by 93 runs in the first match, 34 runs in the second, and 10 wickets in the third.
IRELAND VS PAKISTAN – 2000
During Pakistan’s tour of Ireland in 2000, the Irish side was led by Miriam Grealey. Dublin hosted the five ODIs and the only Test. The hosts were ruthless in the ODIs, winning 4 out of the 5 ODIs, with the last ODI being washed out. They won the first ODI by nine wickets, the second by 117 runs, the third by a thumping 150 runs, and the fourth by 138 runs. Ireland also won the only Test, by an innings and 54 runs.

IRELAND VS INDIA – 2002
In 2002, the Indian side toured Ireland for a three-match ODI series. Dublin hosted the first two ODIs, while the third was played in Strabane. Anne Linehan was leading the Ireland side in the home series against India. The Irish side suffered a defeat in the series as India won the first match by eight wickets, followed by a 144-run defeat for the hosts in the second. After a washed-out third ODI, Ireland lost the three-match ODI series 0-2.
IRELAND VS WEST INDIES – 2008

Ireland hosted a two-match T20I series against Bangladesh in 2016, with both matches played at Bready. Laura Delany led the home side. Ireland won the first T20I in a rain-interrupted match by six runs, while the second T20I was washed out. Consequently, Ireland won the two-match T20I series 1-0.
IRELAND VS ZIMBABWE – 2021
Ireland toured Zimbabwe for a four-match ODI series in 2021, all matches were played in Harare. Laura Delany led the Irish side on that tour. Zimbabwe won the first ODI by four wickets, while Ireland secured victory in the second ODI by 80 runs. Ireland then won the third and fourth ODIs by 8 wickets and 80 runs, respectively, to win the four-match ODI series 3-1.
IRELAND VS SRI LANKA – 2024
Sri Lanka is currently touring Ireland for a limited-overs series, which includes two T20Is and three ODIs. The tour began on August 11 and will conclude on August 20. Laura Delany is leading the Ireland team, who are the hosting side. Dublin is hosting the T20Is, while the three ODIs will be played in Belfast. The visitors are leading the two-match T20I series after beating Ireland in the first T20I by seven wickets.
