FSU and Georgia Tech do battle at the Aviva on Saturday.

Excitement is building at the practice pitch at the Aviva Stadium. 

Georgia Tech’s football team are getting prepared for their upcoming showdown with Florida State University on Saturday. 

Thousands of Americans have made the trip across the Atlantic ahead of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic. 

Plenty of events are planned including pep rallies and the ESPN College Game Day which will see thousands of fans flock to Dame Street ahead of the game. 

Speaking to us, Lord Mayor James Geoghegan thinks the atmosphere will be electric:

“This is really a massive weekend for Dublin. We’ve had Pride, the Taylor Swift weekend, the homecoming and now we’ve got College football. There will be over 40,000 visitors coming to Dublin city, celebrating their team both Florida State and Georgia Tech and on College Green you’re going to have a massive rally in advance of the game.”

Georgia Tech face off against FSU in a sold-out game at the Aviva on Saturday.
