There was plenty of talk flying around Daingean yesterday but “I’d say Mickey Harte is going to change his mind” was one of the more memorable contributions from those in attendance after watching the drab Offaly SFC encounter between big-hitters Tullamore and Rhode.

It marked the official unveiling of the three-time All-Ireland SFC-winning manager in green, white and gold after tongues had been wagging all week since the surprising news that Harte was on his way to the midlands as joint manager alongside Declan Kelly for 2025.
