The native Romanian has been living and working in Dublin as a carpenter.

He is remembered as a “a dedicated shuttering carpenter working in Dublin, Ireland, and a warm-hearted individual who was always ready to help anyone in need.

“Those who knew him can attest to his kindness and generosity.”

Alexandru’s family has since described the horrific pain they have endured following his death.

They have also shared a GoFundMe appeal to raise money for his body to be returned to Romania.

His family wrote on the fundraising page: “In Alexandru’s memory and to support his grieving family, we are raising funds to repatriate his body back to Romania.

“The pain of losing him twice in one year is unimaginable. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate the burden on his family during this difficult time.

“Please help us honor Alexandru’s memory by giving him the dignified farewell he deserves. Your support means the world to us.”

This comes after his pals also revealed how this shock came just a year after he was “brutally attacked” and left in a coma for a month with a slim chance of recovery.

He managed to defy the odds, making what his friend described as “a miraculous recovery”.

Within six months he was back in work and training “with more determination than ever”.

The fundraiser explained: “Alexandru’s life was filled with both immense challenges and remarkable strength.

“A year ago, he was brutally attacked and left in a coma for a month with slim chances of recovery.

“Defying all odds, he made a miraculous recovery, and within six months, he was back to work and training with more determination than ever.

“His journey from that nightmarish incident to becoming stronger and more disciplined was truly inspiring.”
