Róisín Ní Riain qualifies for SB 13 100m final with second place finishRóisín Ní Riain is through to tonight’s final after finishing second in her heat.

She goes into the final ranked third with pre-race favourite, GB’s Rebecca Redfern the fastest qualifier.

Redfern showed her class, touching the wall ahead of Ní Riain in heat two. Redfern stopped the clock in 1.16.40 with Ní Riain two and a half seconds back, clocking 1.19.05.

USA’s Olivia Chambers won the first heat in 1.18.92 while the second place finisher Colleen Young will be another one to watch, finishing in 1.19.65.

Ní Riain now has a third final to look forward to, having won two medals in the last week.

The final takes place at 6.33 and it will be her last outing in the 2024 Paralympics. Team
Róisín
have had loads of joy this week following the in-form Limerick swimmer and she’ll hope to round it off with a third medal tonight.
