Cocaine and cannabis with a combined estimated value of €1,572,600 was seized at Dublin Airport following three separate operations.

A man in his 30s was charged by An Garda Síochána after cocaine worth an estimated €91,000 was discovered by Revenue officers on Wednesday.

The man was stopped and searched when he disembarked a flight from Lisbon that originated in Brazil.

On the same day, Revenue officers conducted two standalone operations in which two people were arrested after cannabis with an estimated value of €1,481,600 was discovered.

A man in his 40s and woman in her 20s were charged and have since been before the courts.

The drugs were found when two passengers disembarked flights from Dubai and Abu Dhabi respectively.

Both flights had originated in Thailand.

The herbal cannabis, with an approximate value of €740,800, was discovered in vacuum-packed packages within the baggage of the individual passengers.

Investigations into all of these seizures are ongoing, Revenue said.
