A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into a fatal shooting in west Dublin almost two years ago.

Cormac Berkeley, 34, was ambushed by a gunman as he sat in a car in the driveway of his home at Harelawn Park in Neilstown, Clondalkin on the evening of 5 December 2022.

He was treated at the scene but was later pronounced dead.

A man in his 30s was arrested in relation to this incident, gardaí have said, and is being held at a garda station in Dublin.

Gardaí are also continuing to appeal to anyone who may have information in relation to this shooting to contact Lucan Garda Station on 01-666-7300 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111.
