A MAJOR Zara store has finally opened in the capital after a big revamp – but customers all have the same complaint.

The branch on South King Street in Dublin city is now more than double its original size.

It has expanded from 14,000 square feet to a whopping 33,000 square feet after the absorption of the H&M space next door.

It is now the largest fashion store in the Grafton Street area, not including department stores.

Fashion fans were left shocked back in February after spotting that it had closed.

Saffron Cull, @saffroncull on TikTok, alerted her followers after walking past the building.

In the caption of her video, she wrote: “SOS #dublin this a public announcement!!!!”

She added: “Just arrived at my local Zara to find this. No.”

Saffron then showed a message for customers left on the store’s windows – with brown paper covering the entrance.

It read: “This Zara store is closed for a full refurbishment.

“Please visit your nearest Zara store at 46-47 Henry Street Dublin 1 or visit us at Zara.com.”

But the Discover Dublin TikTok page shared a sneak peek of the new store earlier this morning.

They said: “New Zara store now open on South King Street.

“The store is more than double the previous size increasing from 14,000 sq ft to 33,000 sq ft.”

And a number of their followers rushed to the comments to share the same complaint.

One person said: “No kids department is a big let down.”

Another added: “No kids part, that’s a shame.”

Someone else said: “Minus the children’s department.

“Sign petition to bring it back.”

Zara is part of the Chatham & King asset, which is owned and managed by the Hines European Core Fund.
