A sawn-off double barrel shotgun and ammunition were seized from an abandoned vehicle at a property in Dublin yesterday.
Two vehicles were also seized by gardaí during a search operation at a property on the Moyne Road in Baldoyle on Wednesday evening.
It was conducted as part of ongoing investigations into recent criminal activity in the area.
A sawn-off double barrel shotgun and ammunition were found concealed in an abandoned vehicle.
Both were seized by gardaí and are subject to further analysis by the Ballistics Section of the Garda Technical Bureau.
Two vehicles were also seized by Gardaí during the course of the search and are subject to a technical examination.
Gardaí in Howth received assistance from the District Detective Unit, Garda Dog Unit, Armed Support Unit, District Drugs Unit, the District Crime Task Force and uniform Gardaí from Clontarf and Raheny.
No arrests have been made at this time and investigations are ongoing, a garda spokesperson said.
