Brian McFadden is set to reunite with his Westlife bandmate Nicky Byrne for the first time since 2004.

Byrne is launching a brand-new podcast, Nicky Byrne HQ and the first episode will see him reunite with his former Westlife bandmate Brian McFadden, who famously left the group 20 years ago.

For the first time ever, the two will have an open conversation about McFadden’s departure and its impact on both their lives and careers.

A significant moment in pop history, Byrne says McFadden had a lot to say about what went down two decades ago.

“I couldn’t think of a better first guest than Brian, he had a lot to say! And I’m looking forward to having some great conversations with many more people down the line,” Nicky said.

“Nicky Byrne HQ is something I’ve wanted to do for a while.

“I’ve had the privilege of meeting and working with so many incredible people over the years, and I think it’s time to share their stories in a way that’s raw, honest, and hopefully inspiring.”

This new podcast will see Byrne sit down with top celebrities and public figures to discuss their lives, careers, and the highs and lows that shaped them.

The podcast will give listeners an in-depth look into the personal and professional journeys of well-known names in entertainment and beyond.

Other big names scheduled to appear include musician Gary Barlow, Westlife manager Louis Walsh and his father-in-law Bertie Ahern.

As a member of Westlife, Byrne has sold over 55 million records worldwide, achieved 14 UK number-one singles, and won numerous awards, including two prestigious BRIT Awards.

Away from the band, Byrne started out in 1995 as a professional footballer with Leeds Utd, winning the FA youth cup in 1997.

He also hosted a weekday show on RTÉ 2FM from 2014 to 2019 and presented Dancing with the Stars on RTÉ One for five seasons before reuniting with the Westlife boys and touring the world since.

Fans can tune in to the first episode of Nicky Byrne HQ featuring Brian McFadden, available on all major streaming platforms from October 10.
