L.A.’s latest hot trend is set to hit Grafton Street as high-end yoga apparel shop Alo is coming to Dublin this winter.

The celeb-loved retailer will be situated on 62-63 Grafton Street and will replace the old Dunnes Stores shop. Work is already being carried out to the building, which is currently boarded up with branding surrounding the premises.

The Los Angeles-headquartered brand has become a phenomenon in recent months, with its clothes being worn by stars including Maura Higgins, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Taylor Swift.

Alo is an acronym for air, land, and ocean. The trendy brand has gyms in the U.S. where famous faces like Hailey Bieber, Glen Powell, and Alix Earle go to work out.

A letter to Dublin City Council from architect Deirdre Dolan and SSA Architects on behalf of Alo Yoga said it ‘is a globally recognised brand known for its contemporary yoga apparel and lifestyle products’.

‘The brand has a modern and sleek aesthetic and they want to ensure that this new store reflects this. To achieve this, it seeks to update the existing shopfront to align with Alo Yoga’s contemporary branding.’

Deirdre added that the alterations planned ‘are designed to enhance the visual appeal of the premises while maintaining the character of Grafton Street’.

The store will be joining fellow popular yoga brand Lululemon when it arrives on Grafton Street.

No official date has been given for when the store will open its doors, but a sign on the property says we can expect Alo to open this Winter. Just in time for Christmas!
