Kelly (54) remains on bail in his bond of €200, which required a €20,000 surety, and was granted legal aid.
Luke Kelly, 54, of Griffith Park Parade, Glasnevin, Dublin, was charged with possessing drugs for sale or supply on August 4, 2023, at two locations in Ardbeg Park, Artane.
It follows an operation by gardai in the Dublin Crime Response Team.
He appeared again today at Dublin District Court when Judge Treasa Kelly heard the Director of Public Prosecutions directed trial on indictment.
Gardai served him with a book of evidence, and Judge Kelly granted a return-for-trial order, sending him forward to the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, where the case will be listed for mention on December 5.

Garda Gary Duke told the court earlier that the accused “made no reply” to the charges. He alleged that officers stopped and searched a van driven by the accused, “the sole occupant of the van”.
The garda claimed the vehicle had DHL branding, Mr Kelly wore DHL clothing, and he was using the delivery firm “as a front to distribute drugs throughout the jurisdiction”.
Six kilos of cannabis were allegedly found in the back of the van, an additional kilo of the drug on the passenger seat, and a “tick list”.
It was alleged gardai found additional packages in a shed at a house in Artane, and the seizure comprised 13 kilos of cocaine and 31 kilos of cannabis, with a total value of €1.53m.
The accused was detained and did not comment when officers interviewed him seven times. He has yet to indicate a plea.
Mr Kelly has surrendered his passport and must obey conditions. He has to sign on daily at a garda station, keep an 11 pm – 6 am curfew, not apply for a new passtheport or travel documents, and not leave the capital or go near Dublin Airport.
Co-defendant Declan Mooney, 43, of Finglas Place, Dublin 11, was accused of possessing €100,000 worth of cannabis and €500 of cocaine in another DHL delivery van at Ardlea Road, Artane.
The court has heard he had worked for a subcontractor for a delivery firm. He was also served with a book of evidence yesterday/today (Fri), and Judge Kelly also sent him forward for trial. His bail has been set at €20,000, and he must obey conditions and not go near the airport or leave the country. He too has still to enter a plea and has been granted legal aid.
