This Saturday, 19 October, Pilot Careers Live is making its annual visit to the Croke Park Conference Centre in Dublin.

The event, designed as a one-stop shop for prospective commercial pilots seeking to learn about commercial pilot careers and the various training routes available, will feature a number of Europe’s largest flight training academy’s promoting their training programmes, alongside representatives from leading Irish airlines Aer Lingus, Emerald Airlines and Ryanair.

In addition to the main exhbition hall, a number of seminars will be running throughout the day, including:

Air Nav Ireland

Laura Downey, an Air Traffic Controller, and Ann Marie Ward, Employee Relations Manager at Air Nav Ireland, will discuss working as an Air Traffic Controller, what it’s all about and how to apply.

Laura Russell

Aer Lingus pilot Laura Russell will talk about her adventures in aviation, which includes entering the aerobatics world championships, and the diverse character types she meets day-to-day on the flightdeck. 

Ryanair

Ryanair Director of Talent Mark Duffy will be sharing details about Ryanair’s ambitious growth plans and discuss how to become a commercial pilot via the carrier’s newly revised Future Flyer Academy that provides a direct path to the Ryanair flightdeck.

ATO question time

A group of approved training organisations (ATOs) leaders will be convened to answer questions from delegates, sharing their deacdes of experience in the training industry. 

Aer Lingus

Aer Lingus will be providing a presentation on their highly popular fully-sponsored training programme, one of only a handful available worldwide. 

Captain Joe

Social media sensation Captain Joe will explore share insights of how to best prepare to get that dream cockpit job. Since the beginning of 2019, ‘Captain Joe’ has become one of the largest aviation related channels on YouTube with close to 1.7 million subscribers and his account on Instagram has over 500,000 followers.
