For ​Niamh O’Donoghue, who is from Dublin but lives in London and works as the global head of social media at Stella McCartney, maintaining connections has been crucial throughout her career. Starting at Image Media in Dublin, O’Donoghue later moved to London, where she worked as the acting social media editor for British Vogue. She then went on to contribute her expertise to Drest and Victoria Beckham before saying yes to Stella McCartney, where she now works as the brand’s global head of social media.

“I keep in contact with all of my mentors,” she says. “They have been invaluable to me. They have believed in me. There’s a lot of power in being a good person in this industry and being kind to people. Hard work and self-belief play a part but having good people around me and working with the best has been crucial for my career.”
