Looking for the perfect way to brighten up a winter evening?

Dublin by Night Fest is set to take over the city centre for two unforgettable nights on November 1st and 2nd.

This exciting festival promises to showcase the very best of Dublin’s culture, entertainment, and atmosphere.

Organised in collaboration with DublinTown, Dublin City Council, Fáilte Ireland, and other key partners under the Winter in Dublin initiative, this vibrant event will transform central streets into a sensory playground.

Last year’s success saw Drury Street, South William Street, Mary Street Lower, and Capel Street come alive with music, street performances, and food markets. This year, the festival has expanded to include Central Plaza, offering even more live entertainment and market stalls.

The festival attracted over 25,000 people across both nights, with a survey of attendees showing 90% felt “very secure” and eager to see the event return.

An event spokesperson noted: “Dublin by Night Fest was a fantastic, family-friendly celebration of the city’s lively night-time economy and its prestigious Purple Flag status.”

The Purple Flag award recognises cities with excellent nightlife offerings that are safe and enjoyable.

The 2024 edition of Dublin by Night Fest promises to be bigger and better, celebrating the city’s nightlife with even more activities on both the north and south sides.

Whether you’re a fan of arts, music, or street performances, the festival has something for everyone.

Performers like Soule, Leila Jane, Kylabelle, Sam Clifford, Aonair, and singer-songwriter Gavin Fox will take the stage, along with drag shows, brass bands, samba, and Irish dancing.

Food and drink will be provided by popular venues including Il Fornaio, Bewley’s Grafton Street, Asia Market, and Smokin Bones, to name a few.

The goal of Dublin by Night Fest is to remind both residents and visitors how much the city has to offer after dark.

Organisers hope to bring the city ‘alive after five’ with night markets and specially curated events that capture the vibrant essence of Dublin.

This year’s programme will feature cooking demonstrations and market stalls from businesses such as Bombay Banshee, Dublin City Comics, Silverworks, and Lush, offering unique experiences for festival-goers.

For those wanting to extend their night, Dublin’s transport network offers late-night services.

The Luas, night-time trains, DART, and Dublin Bus run late into the evening, with 24-hour bus services operating on 10 key routes, as well as Nitelink services running from the city centre to suburbs every Friday and Saturday night.

Plan your trip at transportforireland.ie to ensure a smooth journey home after the festivities.

Dublin by Night Fest gives attendees the perfect opportunity to experience the city in a new light—positive, welcoming, and alive with energy.

Even in the chill of winter, Dublin’s pedestrian-friendly streets offer the perfect backdrop for socialising and enjoying quality time with family and friends.
