Fourteen of the club’s athletes competed in the 2024 Irish Open Freestyle Wrestling Championships at the National Sports Arena in Dublin.

The team returned with an impressive haul of nine medals, including two Irish Champions.

It was a fantastic start to the season, especially given the tough competition in some highly populated weight categories.

Several junior athletes also challenged themselves by competing in the senior section, gaining valuable experience and lessons to bring back to the club.

The club also sent on their appreciation and thanks to coaches Bruce Irwin and Alex Edgar.
