The concept behind Art Riddler arose in early 2022 when a mysterious figure began building a modest collection of art work. As they explored the art scene in Ireland more closely, they realised how difficult it was for creatives to get their start in the industry. To remedy this, they began hosting an annual art exhibition, giving selected aritsts a chance to display their work to the public. The exhibition is free to enter and kicks off this Saturday.

On Friday mornings at 11am, the James Joyce Centre hosts a two hour tour (approx 2km) from their base at 35 Great George’s Street to the National Museum on Kildare Street. The route follows the ‘Lestrygonians’ episode of Ulysses where Leopold Bloom make his way through the city centre on his way from Middle Abbey Street to the National Library. Bloom’s musings on the importance of food are mixed with a commentary on the architecture that surrounds him, emphasising Dublin’s position as a colonial city. Tickets cost €17.07.
