It was a special night in Dublin as The Corrs performed at the 3Arena and there was one member of the audience who caught people’s eye.
The band announced they were getting back together for the first time in Ireland earlier this year after initially going their own way in 2006.
The reunion tour has travelled the world stopping all over Europe, the UK and Australia but as they say, ‘There is no place like home,’ and the crowd sure knew how to welcome them!
Natalia Imbruglia supported the band and got the crowd going with some of her biggest hits such as Torn and Big Mistake.
But there was another big star in the audience who would normally be up on stage, belting out the tunes.
Yes, the one and only Bono was amongst the crowd, there to support the band with whom he has performed with in the past.
Speaking to the Press Association in recent years Andrea has described the close connection the band have with the U2 star.
‘We’re very fortunate to have him as a friend and also in certain ways a bodyguard…I will often go to him with ‘what do you think of this?’ He has been so supportive…’
The crowd were brought back to the days of their youth with such songs as So Young, Forgiven Not Forgotten and Breathless!
The audience knew every word of their songs, singing along to the bands’ classic hits.
However, when they played Runaway, Andrea had to stop singing to listen to the crowd as they belted out the tune.
Getting down on her knees, you could almost feel the love she had for the crowd at the moment.
