Sports fans will have the chance to meet Sky Sports host Jeff Stelling at an event in Dublin this weekend.
The former Soccer Saturday presenter will be at Eason on O’Connell Street this Saturday, November 16, at 12pm, signing copies of his new book, Saturday Afternoon Fever.
This is a free event where you can come along to meet Jeff and get the book signed. Copies will be available for sale in-store on the day.
Saturday Afternoon Fever is described as “a moving and fascinating memoir: a love letter to the game that has shaped and defined him, as it has millions of other football fans”.
It’s about the anchorman’s life spent obsessing about “the beautiful game” ever since he was a little boy, and underpinned by a deeply rooted love of football and of people.
For more than 25 years, he was the face and voice of Soccer Saturday, presiding over a live panel of former footballers watching and reporting on the live action both in studio and around the grounds.
Stelling left the show at the end of last season.
Alongside fellow host Chris Kamara, Stelling also commentated on the All-Ireland football final in Croke Park in 2017, with the help and advice of the legendary Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh.
