Oksana Tsymbalova, a volunteer with the Ukrainian Community Centre in Rathmines, has been nominated for both Volunteer of the Year and Newcomer of the Year at the upcoming Irish Red Cross Volunteer Awards.

Oksana, who joined the Irish Red Cross in 2022, has made an incredible impact within the Ukrainian community in Dublin.

Her work in providing mental health support, particularly to children and women affected by the conflict in Ukraine, has been commended.

Through art therapy and empowering workshops, Oksana has helped countless individuals cope with trauma and rebuild their lives.

Her dual nominations highlight the importance of her contributions and the impact she continues to make on the lives of vulnerable members of the community.

Both Oksana and another volunteer, Uliana Dorkohva, have also been nominated as finalists in the Community Support awards for their selfless work in the community.
