How long have we been waiting for Sephora to open a store in Ireland? It feels like too long, if we’re honest, but we might be looking at a flagship location for the brand in Dublin some time soon.
The beauty giant re-entered the UK market in 2022, and in the last few years it has launched five stores in London (two stores), Birmingham, Newcastle and Manchester, and a sixth is due to open in Liverpool before Christmas.
Sephora ships to Ireland currently, but it’s not exactly the same as visiting a bricks and mortar store to while away a few hours looking at its exclusive lines like Haus Labs, Makeup by Mario or Huda Beauty.
Sephora New Stores
The Sephora news is buzzing in the beauty industry today, and the UK expansion is believed to be happening in the next two or three years. Looking at the UK, the most likely places for new stores will be larger cities, perhaps Edinburgh and Glasgow in Scotland, and the Cardiff in Wales.
In England, we reckon Leeds, Sheffield and Bristol might be next on the cards, so where does that leave Irish shoppers?
Dublin Location
Our capital city might well be in the mix for a Sephora store simply due to the size of Dublin’s population. A megastore on Grafton Street or Henry Street would be an obvious move, but now that Space NK has opened a second store at Dundrum, maybe Sephora would be eyeing up the shopping centre as well.
It might be a case that in the next year or so, it will announce its Irish launch, until then we will have to just keep an eye on all of its announcements. Fingers crossed folks.
