THE Christmas diaries are already filling up for many – but this festive event is not to be missed.
The spectacular ‘Christmas at the Castle’ is returning again to Dublin Castle this December.
Located in the Upper Courtyard of Dublin Castle, the festive market kicks off next week from November 28.
Follow the line of Christmas trees and lights twinkling above into the courtyard bustling with festive fun.
Organisers took to social media to announce there’s a major change for punters this year.
They said: “During the three weeks of the market there will be a host of events and activities scheduled each day from 12pm – 9pm. Admission is FREE. No tickets are required!”
Previously, attendees were required to book tickets in advance.
Surrounded by history and magnificent architecture, the market boasts a selection of stalls, live music and fun attractions.
Organisers said the event “promises a magical experience with something for everyone in the family”.
They said: “With an open air and indoor market, the new Spiegeltent showcasing amazing talents, a vintage carousel and food and beverages for all ages, you won’t be disappointed!
“Attendees are also invited to visit the Neapolitan Crib in the Chapel Royal and enjoy complimentary access to the festively decorated State Apartments.
“We look forward to seeing you and your families at Dublin’s flagship Christmas market.”
This year’s event will bring lots of entertainment to get everyone in the festive spirit.
The castle previously hosted top musicians including the Sea of Change Choir, Cantairí Oga Atha Cliath, Gloria Choir, Garda Ladies Choir and many more.
Browse food and drink, artisan craft stalls, or take a ride on the gorgeous vintage carousel.

Previous years’ sellers included Wildbird studio, Oileann Jewellery, Bombay Banshee, Inna Design, Sweet Jewels, Alphabet Jigsaws, Michele Hannan Ceramics, Precious Amber, Glasnevin Glass and Allypals.
The market will run from Thursday November 28 until Wednesday December 18.
There’s no parking on site but private car parks and on street paid parking are available.
Entry to Christmas at the Castle is usually via the gate on Palace Street, Dublin 2 and exit will be onto Castle Street, Dublin.
