The 2025 President’s Cup final between Shelbourne and Drogheda United has been confirmed for Tolka Park on Friday February 7.
Damien Duff’s Premier Division champions are set to welcome the 2024 FAI Cup winners to the Drumcondra venue for the season curtain raiser. Kick-off is at 7.45 with both sides looking to win the competition for the first time.
Shelbourne lifted a first league title since 2006 with a dramatic win over Derry City on the final night earlier this month, while Kevin Doherty’s Drogheda clinched a first FAI Cup since 2005, also beating Derry, in the final at the Aviva Stadium ten days ago.
St Patrick’s Athletic won the inaugural President’s Cup in 2014 with Dundalk and Cork City both winning it three times. Shamrock Rovers won it in 2022 and 2024, while Derry City won the curtain-raiser last year.
It has also been confirmed that the fixture list for the 2025 Men’s and Women’s Premier Divisions, and Men’s First Division will be released on Sunday December 17.
