The Gardaí have acknowleged the ‘significant support’ received by the public.
Over 90 ‘Persons of Interest’ have now been identified following nominations made by the public in the last week.
Earlier this month, Gardaí published CCTV images of 99 ‘Persons of Interest’ on the Garda website, and say the purpose behind it was to either rule each individual ‘in or out’ and progress their investigations.
So far, nominations have been received by officials in relation to over 90 of those individuals.
As a result, the Gardaí are now removing all remaining images from the website.
In a statement, officials said: “An Garda Síochána is not confirming at this time the role of any nominated/ identified individual in the events of the 23rd November 2023 and it should not be presumed that a nomination/ identification means criminal involvement in these events.”
They added: “An Garda Síochána is continuing the process of validating all nominations received. Each person subsequently confirmed as identified is entitled to and will be afforded due process in progressing their individual case. In order to facilitate and expedite this An Garda Síochána has provided additional resources to the dedicated Garda investigation team.”
