Almost all of the ‘persons of interest’ in the Dublin riots appeal have now been identified.
This day last week gardaí published ninety-nine photos of people they wanted to speak to about their role in the unrest in the city centre on November 23rd.
There was so much interest it caused the garda website to crash. Now seven days later ninety of the people have been identified.
Because of this all of the images, including those unidentified, have been removed from the garda website.
Gardaí say the investigation team will consider how to progress and identify the small number of remaining persons of interest.
They also say it shouldn’t be assumed that all of those identified means any criminal involvement.
