There’s a warning for parents using click and collect this Christmas.

As Christmas draws closer and the festive season kicks into full swing, Irish families are diving into their holiday shopping.

But with the excitement of Santa’s impending visit building, Smyths Toys has issued an important heads-up for parents on the hunt for gifts.

Those planning to use the store’s convenient click-and-collect service should be aware that the toys come in clear plastic bags, which could spoil the surprise for curious little ones.

The Smyths Toys website carries this warning: “Please note your Click and Collect items will be in clear packaging with contents visible.”

The store has also urged shoppers to be aware of their extended Christmas hours this festive season.
