The official return to inter-county training came about yesterday. We say official because anecdotal evidence suggests teams have long since starting planning in earnest for the 2025 season.

Until this weekend, county teams should not, per rule, have been training. A pre-screening session over a weekend in October was permitted for assessments and distribution of strength and conditioning, and running block programmes. But otherwise, this should be the first weekend teams gather in earnest ahead of what is arguably the most significant season in the history of Gaelic football.
