Super Social, at Leopardstown Racecourse, is aimed primarily at adults and offers a variety of physical and mental challenges for groups of up to 10.
The venue, which spans 15,000sq feet, has been in the planning since 2019 and involved a €5m investment in a host of attractions, including 12 holes of High-Tech Mini Golf, NxGen Interactive Darts, Supercharged Shuffleboards, and a Super Social Arena.
The game areas in the venue will be strictly over-18s after 6pm, with over-16s only at all other times. The venue also has a 150-seater family-friendly restaurant which is open to all.
The traditional games available feature innovative technology such as magnetised golf balls that track scores, automated puck tracking for shuffleboards, and darts with digital overlays and automatic scoring.
This Super Social Arena is a concept popular in the US, and is the first of its kind in Ireland. It offers a variety of physical and mental challenges for groups up to 10.
The arena has various challenges and can be booked for up to one and a half hours.
“The days of people just going to the pub and drinking pints are becoming a thing of the past; people now want more of an experience,” Paul Quinn, co-founder of Super Social, said.
“We toured the US and saw incredible social venues that pushed the boundaries of entertainment.
“We knew we had to bring that level of tech and excitement to Dublin, and we’ve been working on this for many years,” he added.
The venue will officially open on December 20 and will operate from 12pm Monday to Friday and from 11am on weekends, closing late.
The venue is accessible via the M50 and Central Park Luas stop and will also create over 50 jobs.
Pricing starts from €12.95 for mini golf, up to €220 for the Super Social Arena for up to 10 people, with prices varying for larger groups and extended sessions.
Dan Begley, another co-founder of Super Social, said that changing trends in how people socialise, especially post-Covid, have given them confidence in this new business.
“Super Social’s variety and quality of attractions create an experience unlike anything else, even in the US or UK,” he said.
“Whether it’s team building, a fun date night, or a catch-up with friends, we’re redefining what a night out looks like.”
