United Airlines is expanding its non-stop direct services between Dublin and the US, which will see the carrier offer its highest ever capacity from Dublin from March.

It is marking the news with a seat offer increase of over 40% for summer 2025.

Starting 29 March 2025, the airline will seasonally double the number of flights between Dublin and Washington DC, from once to twice daily and will also increase capacity on its Dublin to Chicago O’Hare seasonal service with the introduction of a state-of-the-art Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, replacing the Boeing 757-200 previously operating this route.

In addition to these services, United offers year-round daily nonstop flights from Dublin to New York/Newark, as well as seasonal daily nonstop services from Shannon to New York/Newark and Chicago O’Hare. United will offer more flights and seats from Dublin than any other US airline for Summer 2025.

“With this substantial increase in capacity and expansion of our Dublin schedule, we are delighted to offer our customers in Ireland even greater travel choice when booking their next U.S. getaway for summer 2025,” said Karolien De Hertogh, Director Sales UK and Ireland, United Airlines.

“For summer 2025, our customers in Ireland can also benefit from seamless connectivity via our hubs in New York/Newark, Chicago O’Hare and Washington D.C., to or from over 150onward destinations across the Americas.”

The expansion of services between Dublin and the US is part of United’s largest international expansion in its history, adding six new destinations and eight new routes across the Atlantic for customers next summer.

Starting in May 2025, United will launch five new flights from its hub in New York/Newark to destinations no other U.S. airline serves, including Nuuk, Greenland; Bilbao, Spain; and Madeira Island and Faro, Portugal. The airline is also adding three new routes from Washington DC/Dulles, including its first-ever flight to Dakar, Senegal operating year-round and new seasonal flights to Nice, France and Venice, Italy.

United is the largest airline in the world, as measured by available seat miles, and flies to more international destinations than any other US carrier.

In total, next summer United will offer 800 daily flights to and from 147 international destinations – including 40 that no other US airline serves.
