Police are investigating the sudden death of a woman in Co Down.
Officers are maintaining a cordon at Laurel Heights in Banbridge.
It is believed an incident happened at a house there around 7pm.
Police said more details would be released in due course.
Upper Bann MP Carla Lockhart said her prayers were with the deceased woman and her family.
“I am aware of an ongoing incident in the Banbridge area.
“I would ask everyone to give the emergency services time and space to conduct their duties, and respect the privacy of the local residents.”
UUP MLA Doug Beattie added his condolences.
“Awful news from Banbridge tonight. My thoughts are with the family and friends of this women and the police officers dealing with it,” he said.
