Paul Casey and Derek Murray will be appointed joint-managers of Dublin tonight at a meeting of their LGFA County Board.

The duo will take over from Mick Bohan, who stepped down as Dubs boss last month, having led the county to five All-Ireland titles.

Casey has been a selector and defensive coach with the Dublin senior squad for the last seven years, having first been appointed to the position in 2018.

He played an instrumental role in several All-Ireland winning campaigns.

Casey played senior football for Dublin during a ten-year period, 2002 to 2012 and lifted Sam Maguire under Pat Gilroy.

Murray has been part of the Dublin women’s senior management team since 2022 and was credited with a big role in their All-Ireland glory in 2023.

He also played for the male Dublin footballers.

Additional members of the Dublin senior management backroom team will be confirmed subject to ratification in due course.

Dublin will begin their Lidl league campaign with a home fixture versus Mayo on Sunday 26 January in Parnell Park.
