Derek Murray and Paul Casey are set to be announced tonight as the new joint-managers of the Dublin senior ladies.

The duo take over from Mick Bohan, who managed the side for eight years, completing a famous four-in-a-row in 2020.

Dublin won five All-Irelands under the latter’s stewardship, having only won one Brendan Martin cup in 43 years prior to Bohan’s arrival.

Casey has also played a defining role in the transformation in Dublin, working as a selector and a defensive coach since 2018.

Predominantly operating as a wing-back in his playing career, Casey won an All-Ireland under Pat Gilroy in 2011, having captained his county minor team back in 1999.

Murray is also an experienced member of The Dubs’ backroom team, although he only stepped in back in 2022. The Round Towers Clondalkin clubman won three Leinster titles, the latest of which came in 2008, while he also won an U21 All-Ireland title.

Further additions to the backroom team are expected to be made in the coming weeks, as Dublin kick off their Lidl National League campaign against Mayo on January 26.
