The Coronas were among the musicians to turn out to play at a charity busk in Dublin city centre.

The annual Christmas Eve event, which began in 2010, takes place in aid of the Dublin Simon Community.

The charity supports people to exit homelessness.

The busk took place outside the Gaiety Theatre off Grafton Street and was streamed online.

Oscar-winner Glen Hansard led proceedings, with Shobsy, Brian Brannigan, trad duo Lorkin O’Reilly and Jonny Pickett, and uilleann piper Seamus Ong also taking to the stage.

“Every year our dear friends from The Coronas show up, legends, they’re all here today which is very special,” Hansard said while introducing the band.

They went on to perform a cover of the Cranberrie’s Linger, their own song Heroes or Ghosts, followed by a cover of Aslan’s Crazy World.
