Dublin City will again be treated to two special busking events this evening, December 24, to mark Christmas Eve and support the Dublin Simon Community.
At 5 pm Irish time, musicians will gather at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin’s City Centre for an extraordinary live concert.
Later, at 8 pm, musicians including Glen Hansard, Shobsy, and Jazzy will take to Grafton Street for what’s sure to be a packed-out, festive event.
Can’t make it to Grafton Street on Tuesday evening? Dublin Simon Community will be live streaming this evening’s Christmas Eve Busk from 8 pm Irish time / 3 pm New York time!
The Christmas Eve Busk events this evening are free and non-ticketed, but you are encouraged to donate to Dublin Simon Community to show your support.

The Dublin Simon Community works to prevent and address homelessness in Cos Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Meath, Louth, Cavan, and Monaghan – it provides services at all stages of homelessness and enables people to move to a place they can call home.
Last month, Dublin Simon Community highlighted that Ireland’s Department of Housing’s October 2024 report revealed “an all-time high in Ireland’s homelessness figures, with 14,966 people in emergency accommodation nationally, including 10,836 in Dublin alone—a 12% year-on-year increase in the capital.”
The Dublin Simon Christmas Eve Busk has become a bona fide Irish Christmas tradition, where well-known artists gather to perform together to raise funds the registered Irish charity.
You never know who might show up on stage at the Dublin Simon Busk – at previous events, the audience has enjoyed performances by global and local superstars alike, including Glen Hansard, Imelda May, Bono, Dermot Kennedy, Hozier, and Gavin James.
